Dr. Guo Jiawei, a native of Jilin Province, was born in 1983. He received his BA degree from Jilin University in 2007, and his MA in Literature and Ph.D, also in Literature, in 2010 and 2014 respectively, from Beijing University. He is currently a junior faculty member in the School of Literature of Shandong University. He is primarily engaged in the study of Modern Chinese Literature. Dr. Guo is a member of the Chinese Association of Lu XunStudies. He has published more than thirty academic papers in a variety of scholarly journals such asMiscellaneous Publications ofStudies in Modern Chinese Literatureand Lu Xun Studies Monthly. He has also authored and published two academic monographs, including: Enlightenment and Self-Redemption: Thought and Artistry in Lu Xun'sCall to Arms and Wandering. In addition, Dr. Guo is the Chief Editor of a collection of academic essays and articles.
