Professor Fu Lijun, from Canada, has been a Professor in the area of Comparative Literature and World Literatures at the School of Literature, Shandong University since 2005. He received his Ph.D degree from the University of Toronto, Canadain 1998, and has served as Associate Professor at Aarhus University in Denmark and at Hanyang University in Korea. Professor Fu’s major works include: The Pedigree and Historical Reconstruction of Chinese Novels (2006) and The Number-One Scholar in the Imperial Examinations Abandons His Wife To Pursue Academic Success: Narrative Semantics in the Paradigmatic Story-Line in Chinese Drama (2015). His areas of research include Chinese Novels and Drama, Global Chinese-Language Literature and English-Language Literature, Narratology, Comparative Poetics, and World Literature Theory.
