Lu Yuhua, Ph.D holdsthe rank of Associate Professor in the School of Literature at Shandong University. Her major field of study is Ancient (Traditional) Chinese Literature, with a special focus on the literature of the Sui, Tang and Five-Dynasties periods. She offers, among others, the following courses: "The History of Ancient (Traditional) Chinese Literature, with Intensive Reading of Selected Works (3)"; "A Study of Tales of the Extraordinary in the Tang Dynasty"; "Guided Reading:Poetry of the Tang Dynasty"; "Tang-Dynasty Poetry and Tang-Dynasty Culture";and "Studies in the Literary Theories of Chinese Novels and Operatic Literature (Tang- and Song- Dynasty segment)".
Educational experience:
From September 1991 to July 1998, Professor Lu attended Shandong University in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, undergraduate and graduate studies, and graduated with BA and MA degrees. In September 1998 she enrolled in the doctoral program in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of Fudan University, and received her Ph.D in Literature in July 2001. From October 2006 to March 2101, Professor Lu furthered her advanced education as a Circulating Postdoctoral Fellow under the aegis of the Research Institute of Literature, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Virginia, USA, from October 2017 to October 2918.
